The Report Writer saves time preparing the report, and makes fewer mistakes, and the
Supervisor gets a report that can be easily read and securely shared with authorized personnel. But the big winner is the company, that can maintain its records electronically in a robust database, which gives it the ability to analyze the information so that proactive steps can be taken to reduce its risk exposure. It’s also nice to have the reports readily
accessible when the statute of limitations is expiring and last-minute claims are being filed.
Is this it, or is there more to come?
In this new app world, development is never done. We'll be adding features to both the
mobile app and the web console to continually give you the best solution to create and
manage your Incident Reports. We have an app in works for Android devices, and an iPad
version will take advantage of the larger screen to provide supervisors with a dashboard to
manage large events. We've got other ideas, too, but what would you like to see?
I don't have an iPhone. Can I run this app just from my computer?
Yes, if you have an Internet connection. The iPhone app uses the Internet (or cellular
network) only to sync the data to ‘the cloud,’ however the computer version currently
relies on the cloud for all its data and displays. While you can’t capture signatures or
photos from the web console, all other features are available on the desktop, plus there are
additional tools there to allow administrators to manage venues, events, users, and how
your forms display on the mobile device.
What mobile devices will it work on?
Any of these Apple devices will work:
- iPhone 3GS or newer
- Any iPad
- iPod touch
The device needs to be running the latest operating system - iOS 5.0 or higher - which is a
free upgrade for any of the Apple products that might still be running older versions.
Simply go to your ‘Settings’ app on the device, and choose ‘General’ from the list of
Settings. ‘Software Update’ is the 2nd choice from the top. If you select it, you will be
guided through the update process, which typically takes less than five minutes. Once the
update is complete, you will be able to install and begin using the Incident Report app.
